After the absence of the reason for the failure of the deal before, Barcelona returns to the previous goal

Barcelona continues to plan for the future of defending the Catalan team, as it aims to sign deals from the highest level in the upcoming summer Mercato.

In this context, Italian press reports revealed, today, Sunday, the intention of Barcelona and Juventus to conclude a new exchange deal during the upcoming summer transfers.

Barcelona and Juventus had concluded a previous exchange deal, specifically in the summer of 2020, when the Brazilian Arthur Milo moved to the Bianconeri, in exchange for the Bosnian Miralem Pjanic’s transfer to Juventus.

And according to the Italian “Calciomercato” website, Barcelona is ready to give up its Spanish backer Jordi Alba in favor of the old lady’s club, in exchange for Dutch defender Matthias de Ligt.

Jordi Alba’s level has declined significantly recently, in addition to his advanced age, and Barcelona has already begun to search for a replacement, and the name of Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has been frequented, to strengthen the ranks of the Catalan team.

De Ligt is also a target for Barcelona since he was at Ajax, and will serve as a strong reinforcement for the  defenses.

The report indicated that Barcelona could sign De Ligt for 50 million euros, with Jordi Alba included in the deal.

The site stated, that de Ligt welcomes the move to the Blaugrana and expressed his desire to play in the ranks of the Catalan club and was about to wear his shirt had it not been for the intervention of Barca defender Gerard Pique, who warned him against taking this step due to lack of participation.
